The Stump Jump Cabernet Sauvignon, d'Arenberg, 2019

The Stump Jump Cabernet Sauvignon, d'Arenberg, 2019

12,00£Precio

A wet summer and winter in set the vines up perfectly for the 2012 vintage. Spring and summer were drier than normal, resulting in lower fruit yields. A small heat burst just prior to veraison assured a solid colour change, small berries and pronounced tannins in the grapes. The red wines from this vintage are black, solid and quite structured, the biggest year for some time; not oily but definitely gutsy.

ABV:  14%

Region:  Maclaren Vale, Australia

Grapes:  50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Shiraz

  • Production

The grapes used in this wine are mostly from very old bush vines, and underwent gentle crushing, traditional open tank fermentation, basket pressing and oak maturation prior to bottling.

  • Tasting Notes

Luscious, mulberry-filled Cabernet Sauvignon from South Australia, the rich fruit leavened with mint, violet and blackcurrant leaf on the nose.

  • Food Pairing

Just simply barbecued meats and stews.  Works beautifully with a steak.
