Happy Summer! It's here and it's gonna be scorchio :-) Your wines are arriving this morning, so get prepared for the weekend.
Just a little note on tastings, a few of you have noticed that there aren't any on the website at the moment. There's a reason. My day work has got a little crazy and is consuming a more time than normal....which is great. I don't want to sound like I'm not happy, but the wine has to take a back seat for a coupld of months.
The good news is that Wine Club is still in full flow and I can concentrate on getting great value to you and I hope that you enjoy the selection.
This month, it's all about favourites that can work in early summer. Classics we have seen before that can get the party started and then see you in to the evening.
The recommended flow of these wines is;
The rose on arrival;
The verdicchio to continue or start with food;
The Care Garnacha for a little more body and roundness;
Moving to the evening, then I hit the Pinot Noir first;
then the Alianca Dao;
then the Alianca Bairrada as the cooler evening draws in.
Try them, see how the flow works for you. You could even try the Pinot Noir chilled, for a true head explosion.
