  • Production

A 0.56 hectare vineyard of high viticultural quality and exceptional terroir with 60 year old Merlot vines. Single guyot pruning,de-budding, green harvesting, only natural vine treatments. The grapes are hand-harvested and sorted yielding between 30-35 hl per hectare. 50% of the wine is fermented in tank with "pigeage" and 3-4 weeks post-fermentation maceration, the other 50% is fermented in barriques with a maceration of 5-6 weeks after which the wine is aged in new oak for 12-15 months.

  • Tasting Notes

This is 100% old vine Merlot from a tiny parcel (0.56ha) of exceptional terroir in heart of the Pomerol vineyard. It is inky black with intense, super ripe sweet fruit. Concentrated, rich and very classy with expensive spicy oak, the wine has lots of potential. Drink in 10 to 15 years.

  • Food Match

    Rich beef and lamb dishes.
