The Pulp Fiction range is Erich Machherndl's outlet for his insatiable experimentation and curiosity - one-off wines that defy classification! Following on from No. 3, the Pulp Fiction No. 8 has reversed the grape proportions, giving 2/3rds Grüner to 1/3rd Riesling. It is unfiltered with minimal sulphur added.
Tasting Notes
A beguiling nose, full of freshness, combining the classic white pepper notes of Grüner Veltliner with floral aromatics of Riesling. There's a delicious 'wildness' about this edition of Pulp Fiction, with fruit flavours of quince and apple skin. Vibrant and refreshing on the palate. Erich says this is 'probably the most drinkable wine in my whole portfolio'.
Food Pairing
Refreshing enough to drink on its own, this wine would also pair well with Thai cuisine and seafood dishes, especially ceviche or lightly seared scallops.
